My cardiologist and my urologist were debating about my diet. At the moment I wish I listened to my Urologist. Unfortunately a lot of med foods are bad if you're prone to stones. Now I've been a huge med proponent but I do find it funny. Struggling with 1CM stone.

Oxalates are a major problem with vegetable heavy diets. One way to mitigate kidney stones is to cook the vegetables, which lessens the oxalate content, and also eat vegetables with calcium, so the oxalates turn into calcium oxalate

Try Royal Chanca Piedra tea. My gp recommended it, but my urologist said it wouldn’t do any good. I drank it cold, (it has a pleasant flavor. ) After the initial pain, I was fine. 6 months later I had another cat scan, and the stone was gone (6 cm) . I was never aware of it passing. The tea is also known as “stone buster” . I bought it from Vitacost on line, great company. It supports kidney function and can help prevent stones.
