If you’re looking for another chili recipe, give this one a try.

1 lb ground turkey or beef 1 sm onion 1 sm green pepper 3 cloves garlic 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes 15 oz can tomato sauce 15oz can red kidney beans 2 tbs chili powder 2 tbs smoked paprika 1 tbs ground cumin 1/5 tbs garlic powder 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 envelope beefy onion soup mix 1 cup water *take about 1-2 tsp of those dry seasonings to season your protein of choice (plus a tiny pinch of salt)

I like alot of raw onions, cheddar cheese, sour cream and yes crushed up potato chips(preferably cape cod)

You made beans, not chili. Also Texas chili has no tomatoes, the red color is from the Chiles.

From a San Antonian whose city created chili.

My secrets to insanely good chili: use your favorite recipe, but…. use like 3x more chili powder than any given recipe calls for. Add a tbsp of good cocoa powder late in the cooking. Add a little booze like a shot of bourbon early on, too.
