The international mission of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) continues with a prestigious event: a major cultural and gastronomic gathering at EXPO Osaka 2025.
On July 24, within the Italian Pavilion, a Lectio Magistralis will be held on Neapolitan Pizza and the Art of the Pizzaiolo, recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The event will be led by Manabu Odawara, President of the AVPN Japan Delegation, and Professor Ishida Masayoshi, one of Japan’s foremost scholars of Italian gastronomic culture.
The initiative is part of the official program promoted by the Regione Campania, which has chosen AVPN to highlight and promote the region’s food and wine excellence.
This is a valuable opportunity to further strengthen, especially in Asia, the history, tradition, and values that make the True Neapolitan Pizza a globally recognized symbol of identity and quality.
The event marks a key moment in reinforcing the cultural bond between the True Neapolitan Pizza, the Regione Campania, and Japan, through one of the most iconic products of Mediterranean cuisine.
