California Wine Fest returns to SB this weekend
California Wine Festival returns to Santa Barbara this weekend for two days of wine tasting, gourmet food, and beachfront celebration.
The California Wine Festival is bringing together 200 of California’s finest wines, delectable bites from top local restaurants, engaging lifestyle exhibitors, and live entertainment.
Friday, July 18: The Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting at new location Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort offers a unique experience for wine connoisseurs. Guests will enjoy a “first sip” welcome reception from Brick Barn Wine Estates, sampling rare and vintage reserve wines alongside exquisite appetizers. The evening also features a silent auction benefiting The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.
Saturday, July 19: The Beachside Wine Festival at Chase Palm Park offers attendees the opportunity to engage with winemakers and chefs, taste hundreds of premium California wines and regional craft brews, and enjoy gourmet food pairings. The event will also feature cooking demos, the “Best Tri-Tip in the 805” BBQ competition, and a VIP Pavilion with exclusive offerings.
Barbecue Bonanza slated for July 26
Buellton residents are invited to the 23rd annual Buellton BBQ Bonanza for an afternoon of live music, games for children, water slides, and booths hosted by local organizations and businesses.
Lunch, drinks and dessert will be provided by the City and served at noon.

Solvang Music in the Park
Music in the Park continues in Solvang Park every Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. through Aug. 27.
The summer program, presented by the Solvang Chamber, is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, food and drinks.

‘Music in the Garden’ summer series continues
The Solvang Theaterfest’s “Music in the Garden” series continues with Left On Tenth, Sunday afternoon, and each subsequent Sunday with The Molly Ringwald Project, Doctor Wu, and Soul Majestic.
Concerts are held every Sunday through Aug. 24, from 3-5 p.m. under the shade of sycamores in the newly renovated Lobby Garden at the Solvang Festival Theater.
Summer reading program concludes July 27
Santa Ynez Valley’s summer reading program – themed ‘LEVEL UP at Your Library’ – concludes Sunday, July 27 at Solvang, Buellton and Goleta libraries.
The program is open to children, teens, and adults, with donated prizes to be earned at different milestones based on the number of books read.
Participants are encouraged to stop by the Buellton Library, Solvang Library, Goleta Valley Library or Bookvan to pick up a Reading Log.
Participants in the youth category (grades K-6) earn prizes for logging their reading, and participants in the teen category (grades 7-12) earn prizes for every book they read.
Similarly, participants in the adult category (ages 18+) receive one prize drawing a ticket for each book read by entering in the library’s weekly prize drawings.
Families with little ones under the age of five can participate in the 1,000 Books before kindergarten program, which is year-round, and will have additional incentives during the Summer Reading Program.
