local casamora

In Testaccio, a lively Roman area full of Roman cuisine venues, we find CasaMora. It is a wine bar and restaurant, recently opened by the Morabito family, that combines tradition and innovation, with a focus on conviviality, food quality and wine.

CasaMora’s gastronomic offerings blend specialties from the Neapolitan and Roman traditions, reinterpreted with a modern approach. The menu is characterized by original tapas and tasty reinterpretations, prepared with fresh, seasonal and zero-mile raw materials, carefully selected with respect for the environment and the surrounding territory. Particular emphasis is placed on the choice of natural wines, the result of collaborations with small producers who share values of sustainability and authenticity.

The menu of CasaMora

On the menu there are several specialties to try, their “workhorse” being the pasta and potato supplì with a delicious provolone cream. As an appetizer we also find fried moscardini accompanied by a spicy honey sauce.

The family of CasaMora pays much attention to tradition, which is why family recipes are followed in the preparation of the dishes (even if they are revisited). Among the first courses, you must try the tonnarelli alla Nerano.

The restaurant offers both fish and meat dishes, first and second courses. As for dessert, it is all made in the kitchen (tiramisu, cheesecake, and the hot pie with ricotta and pears).

The ambience of CasaMora

The restaurant has both an outdoor part, where you can have a drink (taken at the counter), and an indoor part for dining. The cozy, contemporary ambiance is designed to slow down time and encourage sociability. There are Rome is More posters, paintings by artists and t-shirts in the restaurant.

The dishes are well seasoned; CasaMora is a place to go if you want to eat well (and especially for those not on a diet!).
