Ingredients :-
Bread loaf – 1 ( 6-8 slices )
Tomatoes – 2-3 ripe tomatoes finely chopped
Garlic cloves – 2 finely chopped and 1 for rubbing
Fresh basil leaves – 10-12 leaves chopped or torn
Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black pepper – 1/4 tsp
Balsamic vinegar – few drops ( optional)
Method :-
In a bowl add tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix well. Let it sit for about 5-20 minutes for the flavours to meld.
Slice the bread into 1/2 thick slices.
Toast on a pan or an oven or an air fryer until lightly golden and crisp.
While it is hot rub one side of each slice with a garlic clove.
Spoon the tomato mix on the toasted bread and optionally drizzle with some balsamic vinegar.
You can also top it with some cheese and grill it for 2-3 minutes.
Serve immediately as they turn soggy after some time.
