Cheap & Tasty Vegan Bean Burgers – Under $1 / €1 per patty!
These vegan burgers are super budget-friendly, easy to make, and surprisingly satisfying. Full recipe with cost breakdown in the first comment. Great for meal prep or feeding a crowd on the cheap!

**Ingredients & Prices**:
* 1 can of kidney beans (240g drained): about $0.80 / €0.70 * 60g rolled oats: around $0.20 / €0.15 * 25g flour: roughly $0.10 / €0.08 * 1 medium onion: about $0.30 / €0.25 * 1 tbsp soy sauce: around $0.10 / €0.10 * 1 tbsp mustard: about $0.10 / €0.10 * 1 tbsp vegetable broth powder: around $0.15 / €0.15 * Spices (cumin, cayenne, garlic powder): estimated $0.30 / €0.25 total * Salt & pepper: negligible cost
**Instructions:**
1. Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté until golden. 2. Drain and mash the kidney beans with a fork. 3. Add oats, flour, sautéed onion, soy sauce, mustard, veggie broth powder, and spices. 4. Mix and knead everything until well combined. 5. Chill the mixture in the fridge for at least 3 hours. 6. Form 4–5 burger patties. 7. Fry in a hot pan with a little oil until crispy on both sides. 8. Serve with buns and toppings of your choice!
**Tips:**
* You can freeze the patties before or after cooking. * Add grated carrot or corn to stretch the mix even further. * Great with homemade fries or a simple salad.
