[Music] No, no, no. [Music] Hello to all the she’s and he and those in between. Welcome to my first cooking video, I suppose. So, as you can probably see on my scales behind me, I am going to make basically, let me tell you a story first. So, I bought some strawberries yesterday, these strawberries look great initially and then I read the date on them and they said 15th of July, which is today. So, I had a yogurt bowl this morning with half a punet. It was mainly strawberries. Um, and this is the other half of the bunnet. So, I am going to make jam today. Wish me luck. I thought I’d just take you on the journey because I don’t know what I’m doing and this could be like strawberry jam for dummies. Right then, people. So, I bring this over. If you can see, we have 200 g of strawberries. It said on the website that 250 gram is a fork on it. So, I’m taking it, darling. I’m So, now what I’ve got to do is I’ve got to like mash them. Mash the strawberries. Put them in a bowl. Mash the strawberries. Weigh out the sugar. Exact the same amount as that. So, another 200 g of sugar granulated. Um, and then yeah. This is scary. It’s 180 g, not 200. Okay, so right now this is what my strawberries look like. That is 180 g of sugar. Strawberries. sugar says to do is to put that the strawberries on the heat. Put the sugar in and put a lemon juice in it and just stir it. I don’t know. Strawberries are in here now. It’s mad little consistency and they’re on a low heat. And then I’ve got to put the sugar in and then the lemon and then see what happen. So, I’ve got me half a lemon. I’m not sure if the mint cut it the other way, but I did it this way anyway. I’m going to put that in there and squeeze it in there. Put the rind in there as well. And then sugar’s in there. Let’s squeeze and put the ride in. It says don’t really want to do what it says. I feel like a like I’m making a potion. Okay. So, there’s no sugar left in here. It’s just juice. So, I’ve turned the heat up and we’re going to go to a bubbling boil. A rolling boil. Sorry. Hi. What’s this? Some spider plant. Um, I tried and the consistency not right. So, I put it back on the heat. That took a lot longer than I expected. Let me be real. It was like, stir, take off the heat. Stir, take off the heat. However, I put it in a jar. Put it in a little jam jar. So, it’s cool enough. And then I’ll show you it later on toast or something. What’s up, people? I’m back. Good evening. It’s now like 5:00 p.m. My phone gets on not charging because it’s too hot. So, I’ve just made two pieces of toast and I got my jam. Big round of applause to me. Smells like jam. Consistency is sort of our jam. So, we’re going to spray it and see. Look, the consistency is actually jam. What the mice really sweet. Right then, taste test. I’m going to go sit down, watch tell, and eat the rest of it. Which one do I want? Oh, you can see the strawberry seeds in it and everything. Right. So this is strawberry jam made by me belly simmer.
