My bf and I love nachos…. But now that I’m counting calories, I have to make a clear demarcation where my food is (left side of the corn divide)

Try using separate plates/bowls instead of eating off the same tray. That way you won’t end up exceeding how much you planned to eat. I use much smaller plates/bowls than the ones I use to plate my bf’s food.

I 100% do this. If I’m doing frozen french fries I weigh out my portion and put it on one side of the baking sheet and then make a literal wall of french fries vertically from end to end to show which ones are mine before filling up his side of the sheet.

I’m soooo happy that other people do this. My husband’s calorie intake is over double mine but I’m also not about to do several unnecessary dishes.

I’m not going to lie, I want to do this even when I’m not counting calories. Sharing food with hungry men is not for the faint of heart!

no but instead i weigh out everything before and after cooking, then divide into portions

Are you suggesting that nachos have a military?

    Absolutely!!!!

I will crinkle foil, mark food with cuts or decorative spices, cook in a little boat of foil apart from other food. Anything to keep my food identifiable!!!

    Great idea!
This week I did weigh out my own pasta serving and boiled it separately.

Yep. I’m happy for my son that so far he seems naturally very thin, because by his age I was already struggling with my weight. In fact, I regularly give him protein and try to encourage him to eat more. I portion out my side and then his side is just a free-for-all. Different needs.
