CANTON — A fast-casual restaurant known for customizable bowls, warm pitas and bold Mediterranean flavors is making its Michigan debut.
CAVA is set to open its first location in the state Sunday, July 20 at 43450 Ford Road in the former Boston Market location.
The eatery’s menu is focused on build-your-own bowls and pitas featuring Mediterranean flavors.
The company says its fully customizable menu of 38 ingredients creates “over 17 billion combinations” for guests to enjoy through bowls, pitas, chips, dips, juices, and dressings.
“We’re thrilled to join the Southeast Michigan community and introduce more guests to the bold, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean,” said Gino Carlin, regional leader at CAVA. “Entering the state of Michigan marks our 28th state, and we’re eager to welcome more guests in the Midwest and throughout the country to our table to enjoy our Mediterranean cuisine and hospitality.”
The 3,850-square-foot Canton location will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Guests can choose indoor dining, or order for pickup or delivery.
Ahead of the official opening, the company will host a Community Day on Saturday, July 19, offering free meals to guests and collecting donations for Gleaners Food Bank of Southeast Michigan.
CAVA matches donations up to $1,000, part of a nationwide initiative to support hunger relief efforts, the company said in a press release.
Since 2019, the company said its Community Day events have raised more than $600,000.
CAVA plans to open additional Michigan locations later this year, but has not announced locations.
