And omg they’re amazing. Now, I’m at 8,000 feet elevation, so I never have the same lift to my cookies as sea level, but these ones held form so well, they’re chewy, crispy and so dang good. I put the salt on, but you don’t have to! I was able to get 22 cookies out of the recipe. Weigh the batter and don’t skip the fridge time!!

It’s my favorite cookie recipe. I make it for potlucks and the like.

I wish I had a ‘definitive’ recipe for other types of cookies. Like a chocolate crinkle, an oatmeal raisin, etc..

Woah are we neighbors? I live at 8000ft too! The key to getting the lift up here is baking them at a higher temperature for less time. And use only about 1/8 tsp of baking soda for cookies. It varies by what you’re baking but in general you shouldn’t use more than half of what it calls for

They’re soooo good. Have you made Alison Roman’s “the cookies?” They might be my fave choc chip though not traditional. I’m jealous you have cookies!

I’ll have to try these. Much to my husband’s dimay I am always trying new ccc recipes…the latest fav has been from the 100 cookies book-brown butter ccc, but I gotta try these!
