HANCOCK, N.Y. (WBNG) — More than 40 unique cars joined several barbecue competitors at the second annual Barbecue Cook-off and Car Show in Hancock today.

Organizers tell 12 News that they have had great turnouts at both events and hope to make the show an annual tradition.

Those in attendance took in the sights of the cars, sampled different kinds of barbecue, and enjoyed live music.

Event organizers hope that the event will continue to grow.

“Hopefully next year we’re going to have five or six competitors, and then we’re in line to hook up with the National Barbecue Association, so then it will be even bigger next year, hopefully,” said Paul Siegler, Marketing Manager and Events Coordinator for the Town of Hancock.
