honestly, delicious and the peppers were perfect with it, the bread was really nice too and the broth had such rich flavor. no sandwich is worth 6 hour wait though. i spoke to some people eating and waiting with me and they said they’ve had on par italian beef’s sandwiches here in local LA places

I could never wait that long but at least you got to try it. I’m at the point in my life where I’d just recreate it at home.
There is no food on earth that is worth waiting that long in line for.
That sounds like a waste of half a day..

Like something from Pret a Manger
you wasted 6 hours for a gimmick, nice!
I usually hate when people post pictures of half eaten food, but in this instance it would have been helpful so we can see what the actual sandwich looks like.
You could’ve made a sandwich, eaten it, then have made another sandwich and eaten it and still have 5 1/2 hours leftover smh
You can’t call yourself Mr Beef and hand this out to people.
2nd picture just looks like bread… I must be missing something.
Your picture makes it look like you got *fucked*. Was there anything inside the bread?

Looks like you ordered the Italian bread sandwich instead
6 hours is crazy 🤣

Why…in the hell…would anyone wait that long?
You waited six hours for a roll, Homie.
In Chicago? You can’t tell there’s bread because most of it has disintegrated after being baptized.
Might be the smallest Italian beef I have ever seen
That’s 1/4 of an entire day for something I could make at home.
A little bread with your beef ?
Six hours for that is something else. Does not compute 🤖 Did they roast the beef and you waited from start to finish?
It’s pathetic that Mr Beef can’t get through a line faster than that, considering they serve sandwiches where the meat has to be braised ahead of time anyhow. Aside from maybe warming up the roll, there is no cook time once the doors open. You just assemble the most basic of sandwiches and hand them out.
The thing is, they could move the line faster if they wanted to. Instead, they pimped their guests for publicity by allowing a six-hour line. But you all stood there and complied. They didn’t do it alone.
6 hours you’ll never get back over that? Why?
Bro, it’s small and just bread???
as a chicagoan who’s lived in LA for 12y… i have driven to anaheim for portillo’s more than a few times
