So I saw Luthun getting tons of love here and decided to check it out. This place absolutely did not disappoint. Excellent meal, excellent staff. Incredible this place doesn’t have a star, head and shoulders better than multiple 1 stars I’ve been to. Also a great value, menu was $150.
Every course has a little heat to it but the first 2 in particular really have a spicy kick. It’s hard to choose my favorite dish, the bluefin tuna with the wine pairing was excellent, the monkfish was outstanding. Really every course delivered very strongly.
Staff was great as well. I really appreciated how much detail the sommelier went into in terms of why he chose that drink to match with the next course. After dinner the staff offered everyone a glass of wine or beer on the house and just kind of sat around and shot the shit as they cleaned up. They autographed the menu for you which I thought was a neat touch.
Overall, great experience, strong recommend. It’s small place so be ready to get cozy with your fellow diners. Hopefully the Michelin man gives this place its due.
