Every time I’m out in my garden, which is quite often lately. It’s the most peaceful place I can be. I love seeing the plethora of different pollinators some I didn’t even know about before. Yes, of course there’s honeybees and bumblebees, but then there’s other more rare bees that I never known about ones that are black and white or even smaller insects that are pollinators as well that I don’t know. I saw a dragonfly a week ago and many butterflies and I was happy that the garden was so robust now to attract all these beneficial creatures.

Our bush cucumbers are in elevated, caged troughs. When I go up there to maintain or harvest, the bees are mere inches away. One of my favorite joys in vegetable gardening is observing pollinators.

The first time I caught a bee in my garden I couldn’t stop baby-talking at it as it bumbled from flower to flower. I almost cried I was so excited lol.

My neighbor sprays for every bug imaginable. I haven’t seen a bee or butterfly near my garden in a few years now. Pisses me off! I’m out there with a paintbrush pollinating everything on my own.

I just came in from The Garden about five minutes ago. My oldest daughter is visiting for my birthday and I was outside weeding and she brought her coffee out and we sat next to the cucumbers for about 15 minutes watching the bees. Happy day

That looks like a carpenter bee. I love carpenter bees, but damn… they can do some damage!

Love my bees, we always have bumbles and honey. This year we noticed cut out circles on our rose leaves for the first time. We now have leaf cutter bees in our yard as well, so cool. My favorite though are the hummingbird moths, watching them dance around flowers in the twilight is the best

I was sad until the bees started flocking to our cukes

Yes. I have a bunch of lavender in my front garden, and I adore sitting with a cup of tea and watching them buzz around doing their thing

We have a big patch of honeysuckle and during prime nectar season. I can watch what seems like 100 buzzing about in patch.

I love seeing the bees early in the morning, not as many as there used to beee, but just being able to watch them at work is a great joy.

  18. I have about 15 squash plants this year and the squash bees found my garden! They’re so friendly. I love them.

I have the same trellis! I can’t wait until my cucumber plant gets as big as yours 😍

I am mesmerized anytime something hits my little garden. But that’s because I’m on a 2nd floor balcony and don’t much except birds. 😢

YES!! I can sit and watch bees all day. My grandfather and his brothers were bee keepers. They sold fresh honey and honeycomb. They also sold Queen Bees to new keepers. I love honey bees but Bumble bees are my favorite.
