3 weeks ago I posted that I put my potted cherry tomato plant inside my old dog crate to protect against deer. Not only has it been safe from deer attacks, but it is THRIVING in captivity. I have so many little babies growing and today I noticed my first blushing 🥹 I go on vacation tomorrow and can’t wait to see what it looks like when I get home (don’t worry, a neighbor child is watering while I’m gone). Huge thanks to everyone on this sub for the tips. I am a proud first time tomato mama!

This is great! When you get back, be sure to feed your tomato baby. Now that it’s into full fruit production, it’s going to be a heavy feeder. I use Espoma Tomato Tone, but there are lots of good choices out there. An occasional water-soluble fertilizer is also good for a quick boost. Congratulations. 😊
Despite all my rage, I am still just a tomato in a cage
