Long time lurker, thought you might want to see this beauty after she was restored. Very good friend of mine has been refinishing these for years, and did one up for a housewarming present.
The wood is white oak slats finished with linseed oil, and the handle is birdseye maple – which matches his BBQ.

Excited to fire her up!

I just dropped off a 25 year old Weber silver B at the scrapyard, had no idea that people restored them 😢

    Your buddy is a mensch.

The non-imperialist kind who respects others and definitely isn’t into genocide.

Holy shit, just discovered this sub.

It is definitely not in the same shape as this, but my dad has been grilling on these for at least 15 (20?) years now, same color and all , damn thing is invincible.

  9. Did the same. First apartment my wife then girlfriend moved into they left one behind. Restored it. Used it for another 15 years till the frame finally rusted out. Best grill ever. Enjoy! She’s gorgeous.
