The San Antonio Spurs and the SA Food Bank posted this video encouraging people to support by donating food, time, or money to local families.
Summer is tough time for families struggling with food insecurity. For many children, a bulk of their meals come through school. Campuses offer breakfast and lunch. Some even have meals and snacks students can take on their way home.
But when summer comes, many families are in need of more support to bridge the gaps between meals.
The San Antonio Food Bank does a great job of feeding our community. And the Spurs give their time and efforts throughout the year to help bring awareness. You can see them loading cars and filling boxes, giving an extra hand whenever they can.
