My Mamaw’s sweet potato casserole recipe!

Hello everybody. I’m going to be making a a potato casserole today. Sweet potatoes. And uh Christine’s filming for me. So, this is really her recipe. She’s the one that does sweet potatoes. But you take your sweet potatoes, you peel them, and you um quarter them or however you say that. And then you boil them. And then you u drain them. And then now I’m going to mash them. And then I’ll show you all the ingredients. goes in it when we u as we go along. So, here we go. Okay, there we go. Like that. It’s how we want to do it. So, and I’m going to tell you what all we need to put in it now. We need I got about eight to 10 sweet potatoes in here. Go ahead and put it in there as you’re telling them what what to put in there. Oh, I am. And then um I put my brown sugar in there. It’s one cup of brown sugar right here. So we put that in there. And then we have our spices that we put in there. We have h pumpkin pie spice. We have nutmeg. And we have cinnamon. So I’m going to go ahead and put them in there. It’s just a dash of each. Oh, a teaspoon. So, here’s my little teaspoon, but I’m just going to kind of eyeball it. Put that in there. And then here’s our uh nutmeg. Teaspoon of it. Put it in there. Let me get this out of the way for y’all. Okay. And then we’re going to do our Lookucky there, y’all. I spilled my nutmeg. Smells good though. And then we’re going to do our cinnamon. A teaspoon of that. Put my lid on it before I spill that. So then we’re going to do teaspoon of this. Little dab of this, little dab of that. It’s all it takes. And then heavy cream. Here we go with our heavy cream. We got a cup of a half a cup of it. And then my butter’s in the microwave. Christine, I’m going to stir this a little bit. [Music] And here’s my butter. Yeah, here’s Well, it’s not butter. You can tell it’s margarine. So, and we used a stick of butter for that. Margarine. That’s what I had. I didn’t take no butter. You know, as a little girl growing up, that’s what I used was uh or what mom always used was uh margarine. So, let me see. Now, we have to uh Yeah, we got that done. You done put this in there. Then we got a sprayer casserole dish. And someone got this for me and I love it. Two of them. We’re going to spray this. We’re going to put this in there. So, I’m going to dump this all in there. Can you see me dump it? Me and Christine’s trying our best. Learn how to do this. So then you just mash all this down like this. You been doing every two minutes? Yep. Okay. And then Christine makes the best one now. But she’s sitting here and she’s telling me what all to do. You just put these on top here. Put them around here. Calls for two cups. So that’s what we’re going to do. Two cups like it says. And that’s all you do to it. Then you put it in the oven. Uh regular oven is 375. My oven I’m going to put on 350. But you have to still watch it to to make sure it don’t burn. And you put this in there for I think it’s 20 to 25 minutes. But you have to watch your oven and see when it starts getting brown on top, golden brown, then you take it out. And we’ll be back in a little bit to show you the end results of it when it gets done. He’s about to leave it in there a little bit too long, wasn’t we? But it’s just right. It didn’t burn. It’s just pretty brown. Milton’s going to taste it. You you done blessed it. Lord sanctify this in Jesus name. All right. Might be safe to eat now. Yeah. You always bless your food. I’m trying to say Christine thought it. Oh, what now? You’re not supposed to have sweet stuff. Well, I got one bite. One bite. Okay, we’re going to I’m going to read for you and then Milton going to be praying. So, let me see. I’m going to be in Ecclesiastics the third chapter says to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born. Two minutes Annie. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to break down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to cast away stones and a time together stones together. A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. a time to get. According to the Bible, when we pray, if we believe that we’re going to have what we expert, we’ll have it. That’s right. Amen. But if we doubt, we don’t get it. Yep. If you doubt, it says in here that you like to see a wave going coming in, coming out, and you have nothing. Yeah. If you doubt. So when we pray, we got to believe that God hears our prayers and you want to answer. That’s right. Amen. Amen. Father, I ask you, Lord, to bless Israel. Pray for their peace. God, pray, Lord, for peace for Ukraine. And I pray, Lord, you’d bless America, Lord. And give us wisdom and knowledge, Lord, in doing what’s right and serving you. Help us all to put you first, Lord, in all things. and all the prayer requests in this book. God, I ask you, Lord, to answer them. Everyone in Jesus name. And I ask faith believing. Your word said, “If I pray and acts and believe, I have what I ask for.” That’s right. Amen. In the name of Jesus, I pray. And amen. Amen. We thank you all for uh uh supporting our channel, listening to us, you know, but our main goal is to touch hearts and to see some soul give their life to God. Amen. You know, because he’s coming back soon and we need to be ready when he comes back. Yes. So, but our our main goal in these videos is to touch someone that don’t know the Lord, that’s lost without him, you know, that are sad and broken and need somebody needs hope. And that hope is Jesus Christ. Is that right? That’s it. Amen. And all you have to do is say, “Lord, here I am. Forgive me of my sins. Help me, Lord.” And he’ll help you. He’ll help you walk his walk and and talk this talk and learn about him, you know. Amen. That’s right. So, uh, if you don’t know the Lord, give your heart to the Lord because he loves you. Amen. And he makes all things right. A time to get and a time to lose. A time to keep and a time to cast away. A time to rent and a time to sow. A time to keep silence and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time of war and a time of peace. And that is so true. And it says here it says Solomon’s point in this section is that God has a plan for all people. Thus he provides circle of life each with its work for us to do. Although we may face many problems that seem to contradict God’s plan. These should not be barriers to believing in him. Rather, they are opportunities to discover that without God, life’s problems have no lasting uh God’s uh let me say that without God’s life problems have no lasting solutions. If you don’t have God in your life, you know, uh when things come uh come your way, you know, it’s a time for everything. And when you got God in your life and things come your way, you can handle them with God on your side. Ain’t that right? All things works for the good of the Lord. That’s right. You going to pray for everybody now? According to Romans 8 and 28. Yeah. There’s power in prayer. I I try to stress this every time I pray. We got to believe what we say. That’s right.
