This is my smash press from Mugutu. If I use it on fresh hand made patties, I call that a smash burger. I don't have a griddle, but I know how to cook breakfast and lunch on one in a diner and hot dog truck I am not trolling; too many purists in too many subs are hating on open minded cooking. Shadow ban me if you want. I love to cook. Peace ✌️ ☮️

Calling out an unsmashed “smash” patty with unmelted cheese doesn’t make anyone some sort of purist lol. I don’t throw a chicken breast on a grill and call it a steak and then get mad when people point out that it’s chicken.

“Open minded cooking”. Puts a string cheese log on a burger lol.

  2. Ok, but in your last post you didn’t actually “smash” the burgers with this.
    That’s just a regular patty.

This feels like an ad. A bad one at that with OP’s responses.

very cool to have the right tools. I don’t have one (yet), so I flatten out my burgers before hitting the skillet. it works out fine. how much was your Mugtutu smash presser?

For the record, I think the griddle cooks a mean s.ash burger, the meanest. But other cooking methods can cook smash burgers if you use a smash press. I would not go as far as Derek Wolf cooking and make burgers in the smoker. He is more boss than me.
