We’re taking your favorite deli sandwich and tossing it in a bowl. Today we’re making a California club sandwich salad. Starting out with just two tablespoons of mayonnaise. Thin it out with a half a cup of buttermilk or you can use extra virgin olive oil. A dash of honey. I like a little dijon mustard on my club sandwich. Just a little chopped dill. Splash of apple cider vinegar. Of course, can’t forget the freshly cracked pepper and flake sea salt. Give that a whisk. The base is chopped lettuce. I use baby gem. Chop roasted turkey breast. If you ever see sold at the grocery store, grab them. They’re like candy, chopped heirloom tomatoes, a little chopped bacon. Some do cheddar. I like chopped Swiss cheese, little not so perfect avocado, and I made some mini sourdough croutons. to stuff that old baguette and toss. And I’m having it with a fresh squeeze lemonade. Enjoy.
