Wait — this wine is really good! I don’t know why I like it so much.

I’ve copied and pasted my Vivino review here as follows:

First, the color. A little deeper than I’d expect for a blend this age. Blurry meniscus.

The nose — took me right to the woods, with oak and peat moss and earthy tones. Reminds me of trips to my grandparents’ home in the woods of Saratoga Springs. Bramble, campfire, spice. It smells jammy and dry, with notes of plum.

Taste — whoa! So much fruit! Like a fruit-roll up or something! This is delicious! That sweet fruity finish and linger is not what I expected from this wine at all, given its untamed tannins.

Great!
