Welcome to the world of Arab cuisine. The kind of recipes you fall in love with at first sight. Today I have the very unique baked ka roll. This smells so good. Dude, that tastes even better than it looks. This was the go-to when we wanted to switch things up from our typical baked kufta. We’d normally eat it with bread, so why not just bake the bread with it? So after making the kufta with shredded onion, parsley, salt, and Arabic 7 spice. Use three to four sheets of filo dough and oiling between each layer. Lay a line of kufta along the edge, roll and slice. Stand each piece up and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. While that’s going, saute tomato paste and olive oil. Then add some water. Bring that to a simmer. Cover and let it ride for 5 minutes. Remove the rolls. Spoon the sauce over each and pour some on the bottom. Then back in for another 20 minutes. I made a quick mint yogurt with garlic, lemon juice, dried mint, and salt. Then garnish with fresh parsley and Aleppo pepper and enjoy. [Music]
