The sad thing about Dave’s is that the chicken itself is delicious and cooked great, but they ruin it with the powdery as fuck spice mix on the outside. Why is it so powdery?? Completely throws off the texture for me.

I’ve gotten these twice with some tenders and agree they’re pretty damn hot but really not worth it. It’s just their next hottest with ground up reaper powder on it.
Might as well just buy a shaker of reaper powder and make your own, or buy, better tasting chicken to sprinkle it on.

Had a medium and a hot as I was scared of everything I read about on reddit. It wasn’t really spicy.
Made me want to come back and get a very spicy and a reaper

I tried Hot last time (and also, it was my first time at Dave’s). Extra hot probably would have been a sweet spot for me, as the hot was spicy, but almost underwhelming.
I didn’t want to shit myself in the middle of a Broadway show, so I erred on the side of caution. My wife got medium, and she probably could have done a hot, despite not being on her spicy game.

I ate the whole reaper the heat built fast on my tounge but faded pretty fast. The heat lingered in my stomach for a long while after. Idk it was ok, hot to be hot not much flavor and i didnt care much for the grainy rub.

Legit hottest thing I’ve tried eating and had mild stomach cramps the following 12 hours or so. Glad I ordered it, might try again in a year haha

I generally do an extra hot and a reaper, I don’t know if the Dave’s I eat at is staffed by cowards or if I’m dead inside, it doesn’t seem that hot. I’m beginning to suspect that reaper may vary wildly by location

Early on in the days of cheaper DoorDash, I had a mate order this same thing from a similar spot (more local in name, same ish reaper pepper stuff). They had a waiver, the dasher never mentioned it, the suffering was immense

All these people talking about microdosing or eating it slowly is wild to me. If you’re gonna drown it in sauce or eat it in small bits you’re not even enjoying the flavor at that point. Just get a less hot version that you can actually fucking eat. Not to mention shit like this is just straight heat, hardly any flavor.
