If you’re looking for the best sourdough, baguettes, croissants, pastries and more, check out our guide to the best bakeries in Singapore in 2025, including French bakeries for fresh bakes.
Is there anything more satisfying than a truly delicious loaf of freshly baked bread? That intoxicating scent … the comforting warmth … the perfect amount of crunch … nope, nothing tops it. We’re lucky that there are plenty of outstanding bakeries in Singapore for amazing sourdough, baguettes, croissants, pastries and more. We’ve rounded up all our favourite French bakeries where you can find artisanal and traditional bakes for your pantry.
P.S. Did you know there’s an actual “French Bread Law” (aka “the Bread Decree”) that spells out which ingredients and methods are allowable in order for a bakery to call itself a boulangerie? French bread can only contain flour, salt, yeast, and water – no other junk allowed! And the type of flour (and even water) used in the baking process makes a huge difference, too! You can also check out our easy bread recipes if you want to go the DIY route.

As with the others, Maison Kayser keeps to a bare minimum and uses only the best ingredients. You’ll find breads, pastries, viennoiseries, baked goods, and delectable sandwiches, soups and salads.
