Second Harvest Food Bank’s Providence announces the opening of Fig & Olive Mediterranean Deli, a fresh concept located in Stock & Grain Assembly Food Hall in Downtown High Point. With a soft opening on Thursday, July 17, 2025, this is the second Providence restaurant to open in the Food Hall this year following the opening of Smash & Sizzle in May.
“Fig & Olive brings you the freshest sandwich, salad and bowl creations highlighting artisan meats and salumi and locally produced products, incorporating the flavors of the Mediterranean region. A social enterprise of Second Harvest Food Bank’s Providence, all efforts and profits support our workforce development programs,” says Chef Jeff Bacon, Executive Director of Providence.
Fig & Olive is more than just great food—it’s food with purpose. Operated by Providence, the enterprise not only reinvests a portion of the proceeds into Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC’s hunger relief and anti-poverty efforts but also provides job training opportunities for community members through the award-winning Providence Culinary Training program.
“We’re excited to welcome Fig & Olive to the Stock & Grain family,” said Ericka Hickerson, General Manager of Stock & Grain Assembly. “Their mission-driven approach and unique Mediterranean menu are a perfect match for our community of local, chef-driven concepts. This partnership is another step toward making Stock & Grain a place where good food truly meets greater purpose.”
Located in the heart of Downtown High Point, Stock & Grain Assembly is a curated food hall that showcases diverse local food and drink concepts. Adjacent to Truist Point Stadium it features eight restaurant concepts with two bars and is also home to the Carolina Core FC Merchandise Store. With the addition of Fig & Olive, visitors can now experience globally inspired Mediterranean flavors alongside some of the Triad’s most exciting culinary talent.
An Official Grand Opening Celebration of Fig & Olive Mediterranean Deli is planned for Social Saturday in Downtown High Point on September 6, 2025.
