Just cut tomatoes thick and toast multigrain bread. Or if you have another 3 min and want even more protein – eggs can be fried and added. Eggs are awesome, their packaging too- recycled paper, no plastic waste. Just FYI any colorful plastic most likely is going to landfill, it never gets recycled even if you put it to be.

I made something like this at work recently for myself and it almost made me gag. It was a sad “can’t afford a food delivery” moment.

  2. There’s actually very little protein in mayo (unless yours is homemade?) as it’s made with egg whites. I enjoy a nice tomato sandwich though.
Coloured plastic is acceptable in curbside recycling in my city but black plastic has to be taken to a specific facility.
What country are you in that doesn’t recycle coloured plastic food containers? I noticed that you used American spelling.

Although I do like mayonaisse, instead of mayo, put hummus between the tomato and bread

You’re getting your protein from mayo and the seeds on the crust? 🤨

I was with you until you said mayo I thought it was cheese!

  6. I love tomato sandwiches so I am in full support. I don’t care what order you put it in.
