Universal and delicious sauce, goes well with grilled meats fish, vegetables, sandwiches, gyros, kabobs, pita bread and souvlaki. Very quick in preparation by using only a few ingredients. It is an irreplaceable sauce based on Greek yogurt.

Ingredients:
1 English cucumber
360 grams Greek yogurt
1-2 tablespoons sour cream
2-3 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon fresh chopped dill
salt to taste
black or white ground pepper to taste
Olive oil for drizzling

Hello everyone and welcome to my Polish cuisine. Today I am making a Greek sauce probably known to most of you which is tatsiki sauce. It’s a yogurt and cucumber dip sort of. And this goes well with your kebabs, with your sulaki, with the sear sandwiches. Um, yeah, almost everything for this dish. I’m going to use a cucumber, some Greek yogurt, a little bit of the sour cream to make it creamy, dill, garlic cloves, pepper, salt, olive oil. The first thing I do is I peel my cucumber. And this is an English cucumber. The reason I am using this is because this has less seeds. And now I’m going to grate the cucumber on the large side of my box shredder. My cucumber is now shredded. So, I’m going to add about a teaspoon of salt. And I’m going to mix it. Make sure that the cucumber is mostly water and it will release a lot of water, which we don’t need in this sauce. So, I’m going to set this aside now and let the cucumber release its water. And the next thing I do is I will combine my yogurt and a little bit of the sour cream is because it’s going to add richness to it. Going to add some black pepper. You can add white ground pepper and also a little bit of salt. Give it a good stir. Next thing is the garlic. You can cut it up really finely or put it through the press. It’s probably the best. I love the garlic. We all love the garlic here. So, if you’re a garlic lover, please. Don’t be afraid to use it. Now, I’m going to mix this all in. And as you can tell, there’s quite a bit of water from the cucumbers in here. And I’m going to strain this through my cloth. As you can tell, there’s a lot of water in this cucumber. And now this is perfect to place in the yogurt. I’m going to mix this cucumber really well. Now I’m going to chop some dill. This is nice and fresh dill from my garden. But if you don’t have fresh, you can substitute for dry dill as well. This is very fragrant and delicious as well as it is healthy. So this is a very healthy dish. Now let me add this. Mix them all in. Now, after mixing, I’m going to give it a taste test just to make sure this has enough salt, pepper. This is delicious. So, um, I’m going to place this on my little platter here. And this sauce will compliment any of your vegetable dishes. It tastes great. I’m going to add a little bit of the olive oil on it. Now, just garnish it with additional dill on the top.
