I’ve been running and meticulously caring for an Akorn since about 2018, but couldn’t pass this up and snagged a Big Joe 1 on marketplace for $650. Already ran a clean burn and got the exterior cleaned up as well. Very excited to get cooking.

Welcome! I took the same route, still have the Akorn. You’re going to make a quick transition. The KJ seems less bi-polar than the KJ…slower to heat, slower to cool.
Enjoy the grill. It’s an amazing product. May your deflector plates last for years.
