KI SAWYER, Mich. (WLUC) – Feeding America West Michigan is starting its week of U.P. food distribution Wednesday in KI Sawyer.
Volunteers with the mobile food pantry are scheduled to start distributing food at noon Eastern time outside Building 604. That is located at the corner of Avenue C and Third Street.
When attendees get to the event, they could be asked for the name, address and household size if they are picking up food for another family. The limit of households a person can get food for is six.
The pantry is a drive-thru event. Attendees are asked to stay in their vehicles.
Food distribution was also initially set for Baraga County Wednesday morning, but that event has been canceled.
