FROM STAFF REPORTS

AmFirst has launched its 2025 Feeding Families Across Alabama Food Drive, which will continue through Thursday, July 31, in collaboration with ABC 33/40.

All 21 AmFirst branches will accept nonperishable food items and monetary donations. Donations collected at Central Alabama branches will benefit the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, which supplies more than 10 million meals annually to more than 60,000 children, seniors and families across 12 counties.

In Central Alabama, one in five people is food insecure, and one in four children regularly faces hunger. Community members are encouraged to drop off canned goods, cereals, pasta, beans, rice and peanut butter—avoid glass containers. Monetary donations are also welcome, and checks should be made payable to the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

“Help AmFirst refill pantry shelves and support neighbors in need across our state,” read an official press release from AmFirst.

AmFirst is a federally chartered community credit union with 21 branches in 13 counties throughout Alabama. With more than 200,000 members, AmFirst is one of the largest credit unions in the state and is aims to provide cost-effective financial services.
