I made this a few years ago for Christmas as a semi-joke for my nieces, but it was actually rather tasty! This recipe is basically a standard ice box pie, but substitute Mountain Dew for water when preparing the jello.
Recipe:
1 container Cool Whip
1 packet lime jello
1 pie crust
1/2 cup ice
2/3rd cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold Mountain Dew
Doritos (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the filling by mixing the packet of jello with the boiling water (you could also use hot Mountain Dew) until the sugar dissolves. Add the cold Mountain Dew and ice, stirring until the ice dissolves. Add the container of Coop Whip and stir until well incorporated and smooth. Pour the filling into the pie crust and let it set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Garnish with Doritos.
