i soaked an old packet of red kidney beans and some of them now have this weird shrivelled texture. i couldn’t find any help of the web and thought i’d ask here. is this normal and okay to eat?

I get this texture occasionally as well. I don’t think that’s a bad sign.

Yea my beans always look like this after soaking, perfectly fine to my understanding. Just a sort of weird texture.

They’re just old but you’ll be fine
