No worries, warranty replacements are easy and that’ll still work for awhile.

This was a replacement firebox, purchased for $175 June 20. I filed a claim with BGE. This seems like a design flaw: why not make it in multiple sections so it can expand and contract without cracking, and if it does crack, you don’t need to replace the whole fiirebox.

That’s stinks. I just replaced mine over the weekend and have used it once. Last one made it 12 years.

Mines been broken for dang near 10 years. I still use it once a week or so. I suppose I’ll replace it if it ever falls apart
