Treasury Wine Estates has selected Breakthru Beverage Group to distribute its Treasury Americas and Treasury Collective portfolios in the US state of California.
The arrangement, announced by the Australia-headquartered wine group today (24 July), will commence from the start of September, replacing Republic National Distribution Co, which withdrew from California in June. The group said today (24 July) that the net financial impact of the distribution change in the state “remains uncertain”.
Breakthru Beverage Group already handles TWE’s distribution in other US states including Florida.
Treasury Collective, a recently created reporting unit containing the group’s lower-priced wine brands, includes 19 Crimes, Cali by Snoop, Matua and Squealing Pig, alongside Blossom Hill, Lindeman’s, Wolf Blass and Yellowglen.
The group intends to provide a further update on the impact of the switch as part of its financial full-year results announcement on 13 August.
In April, non-alcoholic start-up DioniLife signed a distribution agreement in Colorado for its Mash Gang beer brand with Breakthru.
