I watched a couple videos before hand, and after trying I learned I should’ve made the cupcakes cold before trying , but I did let them chill at room temp for 45 mins before piping. I also think I held the leaf tip wrong. I was holding it like flat and in videos I’ve seen people hold it sideways. Also should I frost the cupcakes before trying the Russian piping? I’ve seen videos where some people did and some people didn’t , I didn’t but I’m wondering if it’s easier if you do first.

    They’re beautiful 🥹
You may or may not frost it prior, depends on you. What frosting did you use? I observed that my Russian piping don’t really go well with whipped frosting, they work best when I use buttercream.

I hate you a little 🤣🤣 all jokes aside, I have no help unfortunately. I have tried these several times and cannot get them to work for me. I have messed with my buttercream (stiffer, looser, chilled, room temp, etc) and no matter what I do, these don’t work for me 😭

We use this tip at my bakery. We don’t really frost the cupcake before, but we do a small pillow of frosting in the center, and then do the flowers over top and on the sides of that pillow. This creates more dimension for the bouquet. We also definitely add more leaves, you can kinda go crazy on the leaves honestly. Bouquets are supposed to have greenery, it doesn’t look out of place with lots of leaves! And you get the added bonus of being able to cover any empty spots on the cupcake 🙂
