I recently had a work event catered and this was one of the dishes in the Korean section. It was amazing but I don’t know what it was haha. Can someone please translate and also let me know what to ask for at a restaurant. Thanks!

  1. It is called Jinmichae or Ojingeochae muchim. It’s dried shredded squid that has been stir fried with a sweet and spicy type of sauce.

    That’s an awful lot of it. It’s mostly a side dish.

    진미채 (Jinmichae). It’s spicy and seasoned julienned squid which is typically fried.

    It used to be a common side dish, but squid has become so expensive over the years that it’s now hard to find it on the table as often as before.
