It’s a pairing of dessert delights – cookies and cheesecake. This year’s special “flavor of the fair” for sundaes and malts at the Dairy Goodness Bar is Cookie Butter Cheesecake.

It was selected by popular vote over the two other possible flavors: Popcorn Parade or Ha-bacon-nero.

The cookie butter cheesecake treat is a vanilla malt or sundae with cheesecake pieces, cookie butter sauce and a Biscoff-style cookie on top.

It’s available at the Dairy Goodness Bar, which is located in the Dairy Building, by the Princess Kay of the Milky Way butter head carving cooler.

The stand, known for sundaes and malts, is run by Midwest Dairy. They also sell sundaes and malts in other flavors, ice cream cones, milk, yogurt, Greek yogurt and cheese sticks. The building is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily during the fair.

Midwest Dairy also runs the All-You-Can-Drink Milk stand at the fair. Unlimited cups of milk are again $3 this year.

Last year’s flavor of the fair was Rockstar-Berry. It was a vanilla sundae or malt with strawberries and fruity rice cereal.

The Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 21 – Sept. 1, 2025.
