I can handle national websites dumping on chain restaurants. It’s part of their bread and butter. If they didn’t hate on restaurants like Olive Garden, foodies would question the reason for that site even to exist.
Sbarro Gets Unfairly Roasted on “Worst Italian Chains” List

Sbarro Pizza Still Hits Different at the Mall
Growing up, there was nothing better than grabbing a slice of pizza from Sbarro. It was massive and good too, and from what I remember, decently priced. To this day, if I’m in a mall with a Sbarro, I think about a slice. Don’t get me started on Cinnabon either.
Sbarro via Facebook
Sbarro via FacebookCheapism’s Sbarro Take? Total Nonsense.
Anyway, Cheapism’s take on Sbarro is hooey:
The butt of so many jokes, Sbarro is the quintessential mall food court chain for pizza and other Italian food. As malls have died out, so has Sbarro. It’s now thought of as a restaurant of last resort you see in airports, bus stations, and highway rest stops. You never know how long the pizza has been sitting under those heat lamps, but you know it’ll be dry no matter what.
The heat lamp stuff is hard to dispute, but I’d still take a slice of that nostalgia any time in or near a mall.
