I've been on a "Pepper a Day" mission to boost my tolerance, munching 1-3 raw Thai Dragons daily for about a month now. And guess what? Store-bought ghost pepper dip and full jalapeΓ±os feel like… nothing! My first habanero is ripening as we speak, ready to be my next victim. Wish me luckβ€”or maybe send a fire extinguisher! πŸ˜‰πŸ§―

What's the spiciest pepper you're conquering this year?

I have everything ranging from jalapenos to peach habaneros all the way to Carolina reapers.

Been a fan of hot sauces most my life but dear lord fresh peppers kill hot sauces.

I’ve had thai chili’s that were hotter than capsaicin concentrate. I’m not sure the science behind it but things while fresh are hot!

I’m excited to try out some fresh Carolina reapers this year

I’ve been doing the same for about a month or so, but I already had a pretty good tolerance when I started. Two weeks ago it was thai’s and tabascos. Now this week I’ve started snacking on habaneros right off the plant. Easy peasy. Next week I should have a few ghosts ripe enough to do the same. After that, Armageddon. And last but not least I will conquer the reaper. Genuinely nervous about that one.
