The 43rd annual Italian Family Festa, being held Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, at History Park in San Jose, will feature grape stomping, pizza dough tossing, live music, bocce, a cultural zone, a Roman encampment, Italian swordsmanship demos … and plenty of food, wine and beer.

Look for the Tricarico Club’s polenta with sausage and the Sons of Sicily’s ravioli and sausage. Tony & Alba’s will sell slices of pizza. Ristorante di Maria will be baking mini-calzones, and Social Bar is making charcuterie cones and boxes. Amora Concessions will again offer portobello mushroom sandwiches and fried artichokes.

Members of the sponsoring Italian American Heritage Foundation — the group is celebrating its 50th anniversary — will make meatball sandwiches and spaghetti, fill cannoli to order and scoop gelato.

New for this festa: Chicken and pork kebabs from the Hawaiian BBQ booth and India Gourmet’s curry bowls, naan wraps and samosas.

Six wineries are set to pour varietals in the shaded Wine Tasting Garden — Bargetto, D’Argenzio, Fortino, Guglielmo, Orsi and Rosa d’Oro. Beer drinkers will find Italy’s Peroni.

Vendors will be selling artisanal salami, honey, condiments, fruit snacks, locally baked biscotti and more.
