Got a PK360 for my birthday and always wanted a charcoal grill. Had some friends over to break it in.
Straight 6 hours on grill with no wrap and tried my best to keep at 250 or lower. Just rub, some hickory wood blocks and everyone added their own sauce at end.

What do folks think of vertical rib holders? Are they there just to increase volume or do they make a better product

Charcoal and wood over a pellet smoker every time I hold a friends smoking competition every so often. The amount of people I upset when I tell them they can’t use an electric smoker is amazing! If you can’t smoke with charcoal and wood, then YOU can’t smoke.
Looks more like indirect grilling to me. I don’t think people truly understand smoking anymore.

Lookin’ delicious as hell. I’m a charcoal user myself because I LOVE the smoky flavor. Gas tastes completely different to me.
