Regardless of whether you can read the article or not (i.e. get past the paywall): what wrap would you recommend in the city? Is there one that defies the "Rule of Wraps" in being the worst fad?

I think the author just hates wraps, saying they are bad in more colorful language, IMHO he’s wrong but to each his own.

An acceptable wrap is at Naya, specifically falafel. It’s not top tier or anything but enjoyable. I hate to give a chain but it’s the most recent wrap on my mind.

Even worst those PBJ school sandwiches that they gave you if you forgot to bring lunch on school field trip

Wraps with handmade fresh tortillas can be mind blowing, wraps with cold store bought tortillas leave a lot to be desired. Sounds like this guy just eats shitty wraps

A proper chicken Caesar wrap is culinary excellence.

I eat a turkey wrap everyday and it is delicious

Paninis that aren’t really paninis were the worst sandwich.

If the author thinks wraps are the worst fad, I can only say that they obviously have somehow managed to avoid eating kale.

What’s next, gummy pasta primavera? Dry chicken breast?

Sorry what I’ve always eaten wraps …. I didn’t realize they were ever “out”. I also eat sandwiches and salads. They are not mutually exclusive.

Is it sacrilege to say that some days I prefer my bec in a wrap to a roll?

My fav wrap from a lil fancy bodega by me, I was walking home after an impromptu sleepover and this spot had the best greasy bacon egg and cheese wrap that brought me back to life. I’ve had many great wraps but I still think about that one. A bad wrap will have too much of the wrap and not enough filling. I’ll choose a wrap over a hero fight me.

Never ate a wrap and thought that’s was delicious can’t wait to get hungry again later and want more of that. Ever. Never happened. Wraps are awful. And unfulfilling.

Memo shish kebab wrap is the third best option and the best value for money at the same time.

Wraps only get a bad name because tortilla wraps are a terrible vessel, but it’s comparable to most deli bread. If you eat sandwiches on quality baguette or country bread or ciabatta (one of my favorites even though I grew up on good baguette), you’ll never think of tortilla wraps again.

There used to be a place in Greenpoint called Stretto that had an elite spicy chicken Caesar wrap that is now gone forever. If someone could bring that specific wrap back somewhere I’d be happy.

Chicken shawarma from a middle eastern or Mediterranean restaurant.

Only wraps I recognize are burritos. Everyone else can walk.
