$36.99 at the Pacifica, CA Taco Bell Cantina. Notes: med to high body, smooth tannins, blackberry, balanced acidity, not overly oaked. Decently long finish. Lacking depth/complexity, but overall this was much better than I expected. Paired well with the Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch. 86 points.

First time trying something from Grieve Family Vineyards, but they seem like a pretty serious producer? They make a $230, 96 point Cabernet. Pretty good QPR from this Taco Bell red.

  1. Not saying this isn’t decent wine but how can you rate it 86 and say it’s good QPR for $37?

You can find pretty decent Cali cabs at Costco for $20 that should at least rate an 86

Do you think it would pair better with the regular cheesy Gordita crunch?

$36.99 at a taco bell is crazy. I think that’s how much an entire taco bell franchise costs.

Yeah 86 points is an atrocious score in case you didnt know lol

  5. Guess they were the only Taco Bell to survive the franchise wars. Did the Cantina have that little shelf with three seashells on it?…i’ll let myself out.

Real talk… the Pacifica Taco Bell is incredible.

  7. I’m holding out for the Grand Cru size McBurgundy meal.

Yes, a collab of such fruitful teasing I yearn for the spreads of ‘88 during April-May; divinity of the palette was as pure to Arctic pears.

Funny enough about Grieve being a serious wine, they use the Maayan Melka winemaker combo but when I asked Maayan about this wine (he’s a personal friend of mine) he said they didn’t make wine for 2020 for Grieve. so this might be a custom crush project that Grieve did with the grapes that they probably didn’t want to risk using the Maayan Melka name for since 2020 is a fire tainted vintage
