[Music] Good morning and welcome back to my channel. This is my latest raised bed from VGO. It is a raised and elevated bed. VGO was nice enough to send me one to put together and to check it out. So, I thought I would bring you along. Let’s get started. So, the first thing we’re going to do is to unbox everything and separate it into the parts that belong together. And believe me, there are a lot of parts. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Hey. [Music] [Music] So, the first thing we’re going to do is to connect the rim ends to the frame links using bolts, metal washers, and cap nuts. And I will tighten them up using the tools that were provided. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] So, we have the frame assembled. Next, we’re going to attach some adapters and the handle. We’re going to put adapter on each end where the wheels will go and on the two ends here where the handles go. The adapters look like this. And here are the handles. And we’re going to use the same caps and screws that we used in the frame. [Music] [Music] So, we got the handles and everything connected. The next step is to connect the casters or wheels to the legs and the legs to the frame. So, we’re going to go ahead and do that in time lapse. [Music] [Music] Heat. Hey, Heat. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] So, as you can see, we have the shelving and the canisters and legs in place. Now, we’re going to connect everything together, and then um head toward putting the actual bed together. So, whereas before we haven’t been using washers, just uh caps and the actual bolt itself, this time we’re going to place a washer in between the bolt and line up the holes and screw them together. I’ve made this the right way. Let me check again. Yes, the bolt, the washer. Come on. It’s just a There we go. And then we’re going to just handtighten the cap. And then I’ll come back and tighten everything up. So, we have the shelving and the legs. and the frame connected here. I have just connected the bed itself, just the top two layers of screws to the frame. And then afterwards, we’re going to put everything together. In my hand, we have the safety edging that we’re going to place around the top of the raised bed. The safety edging is needed so that the sharp edggers do not catch you or cut you as you’re leaning against it. So, it’s been out in the sun. It’s a very humid day, so it should just slide on very easily. After I do that, I’m going to actually place the waking containers into the bed itself. And then after that, we’re going to put the triangle pieces in to fill in the bed. And then last but not least, we’re going to screw everything in, tighten it down, and we’ll show you the finished product. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hey, hey, [Music] hey. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Okay. So, we have the base of the bed connected to the frame, the legs, and the handles. Now, we’re going to put in the bottom of the Wick container. Each of the containers has a overflow opening here, which has to face to the opening down here. So, we’re placing one there. And we’re going to place the other one here. The overflow the overflow is for when the bottom gets the bot both of these bottoms get completely full. Then the excess water will run out and my plants or whatever I decide to plant in here won’t get root rot. Last but not least, we have two triangle pieces that fit over the wicking tubs here. And that kind of locks them in place. Okay. After that, we put in our Wiccan planters. And they go in the bottom just like that. And last but not least, we have two of these that once the bed is filled with water, they will come up like this and let me know when the water evaporates, it will fall down. And that will let me know I need to add more liquid into the bottom of the deck. So, we finally have it put together. And I’m going to leave it right here for now until I decide where I want to place it at. But here is just as good as any. Now, my purpose for wanting one of these was to plant carrots in the fall. I want to make sure that my soil is very loose and I want to try to grow some big carrots and hopefully this will allow me to do so. Um, the bed will have nothing but um compost and soil in it along with some nutrients. So there there won’t be any other material in it like I normally fill raised beds and hopefully we’ll have better carrots. Many of you have heard me mention VGO in the past. I am affiliated with them and if the truth be told, a lot of my uh garden success I owe to them. I have several of their products that I use on a daily basis and they’re a very reputable, very good company. It is based out of Texas and it’s known for its durable, modular, and eco-friendly raised beds. They focus on helping people grow food sustainably, even in small spaces like I had before and in spaces like I currently have. Their products are very popular among backyard gardeners, homesteaders, and community projects. If you’re interested in purchasing one of these, I’ll put my link on the screen as well as my discount code. I also have a um thank you code that I got from VGO.
