I was moving the egg when a leg of the table went off the edge of the patio and the Mini Max became a casualty. I’m assuming this isn’t covered under warranty. The base seems OK but everything didn’t make it. Should I try to replace the broken pieces or just buy a whole new one?

F in the chat. I think you can buy just the lid, and other pieces, but may be easier and possibly even cheaper to get a new one. Turn the old base into a planter.

  2. The domes honestly are not that expensive to replace

Maybe find somebody with a cracked base?

  4. Look up rutland refractory cement, you could fix this if you are patient enough

Sorry for your loss. Check fb marketplace. I occasionally see listings for the tops, bottoms, and bases separately. Probably from pallet returns or other bulk listings. Worth a shot

I lost the lid on my large while doing a pizza several years ago before they put tabs on the bands. It was still my fault since I knew I needed to tighten the bands, especially before high heat cooks.

Pout one out for the ceramic homies. 🍺

Edit: Keeping my error on pout instead of pour since I did pout.

But have you tried all the kings horses and all the kings men?

If so, as others have said, the dome replacement should be a fraction of the cost. Or buy a second hand one and replace the guts. Or sell the remaining pieces (bands, cap, etc…) for parts/upgrades.
