Used the vortex for indirect heat with mesquite chips for smoke, followed by direct heat to finish it off.

Looks great. I love charcoal cause it’s so easy to get a great crust.

I think it’s cooked 100% the way I like it.
    10/10

It’s a touch towards rare ever so slightly and I think aiming for that should the right standard.

YOU KNOW DAMN WELL HOW YOU DID.

    10/10, looks delicious

Fuck yeah, it’s always best when it’s just red enough that you’re like “is that raw?” But then you pull out the phone flashlight and take a closer look and it’s just pink, that’s how I like my steaks.

First Pic seemed a bit on the rare side, but the others looked perfect medium rare. Expertly done.

So far, I think you have won the best cooked steak contest. Everyone loves it! Perfect 10/10 🥩.

Nearly everyone but me says it’s perfect. I dunno. Personally, I see just a tad too much pink. Just sayin’.

Hell yeah that’s how you did. Hell yeah.

Wow looks amazing—I’ll take the unsliced one in pic 4!

  10. Looks close, but to be certain, you need to use a thermometer.

If you demand criticism I’d say it looks like it tends a bit towards medium rather than medium-rare, but that is obviously an amazing piece of meat you cooked there.
