It doesn’t care about Scoville units. It’s not here to melt your face but to haunt your tastebuds. It’s a perfect mix of fermented bean, crispy garlic, chili flake, and oil and it hits you with a one-two punch of umami and heat.

Love this stuff 👍 1 whole cucumber, 2 spoons of chili crisp, soy sauce and sesame seeds. Kewpie mayo rice scoop both on to a little roasted seaweed and enjoy
I agree. I buy it by the case
Yes.
Crispy chilli is great as well.
You just gave me an idea… what would be the best way to saucify this? A whole jar with a splash of vinegar in a blender? Maybe cooked off into some passata then blended? Give me some suggestions and I’ll give it a go…
Here me out…use with hominy

I’ll be in the minority. I don’t like the taste it gives food.
Is hot. Is sauce.
Its too peanut forward to be versatile, IMO.
It’s too salty
We call it crack, because of both the texture and how much we like it, and it goes on a surprising amount of dishes.
I prefer Sichuan chili crisp but thats just me. Sambal is the best hot sauce that isn’t a hot sauce imo.
Agreed it’s a good one, thought with an industrial composition.
There are several different style of sauce form this brand, with very similar packaging/design.
I really like sambal as well. Would probably have to do a head to head to be sure.
…okay…
It’s Irish and handmade. It’s not spicy but honestly it’s the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten. Poached eggs will never be the same – trust me
There should be a post with chili crisp counting how many people can comment “great with eggs”
It’s a sauce and it’s hot
It’s a hot sauce
Hard agree, I’ve been putting that shit in almost everything lately.
I got a jar a while back and still haven’t tried it yet. I definitely need to soon.
It’s really good, Leaves a taste in your mouth that I don’t prefer. Doesn’t stop me from using it
I kinda love the crunchy beans in it. My favorite is to mix it with some white rice and Chick-fil-A Polynesian sauce
I now put this on spaghetti and Meatballs instead of just crushed red pepper. So good.
… This is like your third post on this sub in less than a day, and it’s all just generic, store bought sauces. Nothing wrong with that kind of stuff, so no gatekeeping here, we all love hot sauce, but *no*, Valentina isn’t the GOAT, I’m assuming everyone here *knows* about it, so none of that “if you don’t, it’s time,” crap, and chili crisp itself is the easiest condiment to make, and would better serve anyone who’s a fan on here to actually make it yourself with your own dried peppers.
Let me guess your next post: Tabasco is hype, Louisiana is fire, and Crystal is the OG; oh, and don’t get you started on Texas Pete!
Soooo good. No spice but delish. The oil version has tofu pieces that I love
What ever came of the whole “it’s made with cooking oils that are contaminated with petroleum” thing? I kinda stopped buying it in part because of that (but also just because I got burned out on it).
I love the crunchies.
Chili oils are a whole different world. Dive in, the water’s hot!
I use it for one of my beef jerky marinades. It’s amazing stuff.
The momofoku one is so good. Great on eggs. Moderation is key tho.
I prefer chiu chow bur this one’s alright
Never had a chili crisp I don’t like, but I like this one the least.
The nice thing about chili oil is the numbness from the sichuan pepper corns. Lao Gan Ma is my favorite. It makes most things better, even ice cream, but not hot dogs.
Aldi Just brought out their own version of this.
I bought a jar a while back, and it wasn’t for me. It didn’t really taste like anything.
Mmmm not really
Chili crunch on a cream cheese bagel slaps.
Isn’t there like 2 versions? 1 super mild and another more aggressive?
My brother and buddy SWEAR its amazing on vanilla ice cream. Ive yet to try it that way, cuz what the fuck.
