  1. Digby Fine English Blanc de Blancs Brut 2013, West Sussex, England

Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.

    Pretty nose with nice elegance.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing citrus, lemons, green apples, limes, Indian spices, earth, minerals, brioche, sea salt and light river rocks.

Tangy finish with limes and light almonds.

This young English Blanc de Blanc is starting to drink nicely now, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

This 12 year old English Sparkling is elegant and easy drinking. Tangy and interesting.

Good by itself or with food, and will pair nicely with oysters.

100% Chardonnay grapes were aged for 8 years on the lees. A small production of only 4,000 bottles made.

    12% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $80.

    What is this glass?!

I cant tell if I hate it or love it

  4. English bubbles are amazing. The same soil structures in Champagne are present in the south of England. In a few years English bubbles will be a major player.

I don’t think eight years on lees and twelve years old is considered “young” anywhere. England, or otherwise.
