Friendly tip, if you crumble up the parchment (like youre about to throw it away) it will be easier to shape to your pan

This is my family’s go to, but the recipe is from the 70s or 80s passed from my aunt and it was called chocolate chip cookie cake. The name is weird, but yeah I’ve made this for poutlucks and it’s a hit. My dad would put coconut and walnuts or pecans on top as well. Basically whatever was in the cupboard

Her red velvet cake is the only red velvet I’ve ever liked. And I’ve since made her apple cinnamon rolls which were divine and I usually struggle with any sort of yeasted dough or even pie dough but her dough was so easy to work with. I want to make everything on her site.

I used to work at a restaurant whose signature dessert was a cookie bar. I quietly swapped out my boss’s cookie bar recipe for Sally’s, and the bars became a hit! I love this recipe so much, browning the butter adds a nice depth as well.
